UDI deputies: «We will not allow resources to be cut off to bicentennial high schools»

After it was confirmed that the Government will reduce the resources for the Bicentennial high schools by 32% in the next Budget Law, the deputies of the UDI and members of the Education Commission of the Chamber, Eduardo Cornejo and Fernando Bórquez, together with their par Sergio Bobadilla, assured that as a bench “we will not allow their resources to be cut off, because we do not want what happened with the National Institute to happen again.”

The union legislators assured that they are already talking with other groups “to replenish the resources of these emblematic high schools, which have become a true hope for thousands of families who have seen how their children have been able to emerge thanks to the educational quality that these establishments”.

“Unfortunately,” added Bobadilla, Cornejo and Bórquez, “instead of empowering them, apparently with this social experiment, the government wants to create more IN or INBA, so that the result is more white overalls, instead of students hoping for a better future.”

“In the next budget law we will present the respective indication so that the resources are maintained and projected with more vitality over time, improving infrastructure, teaching staff and an administrative body necessary to continue being the engine of development for Chilean families”, concluded the UDI deputies.
