The Division of Maneuvers Against Illicit Drug Trafficking Huallaga carried out a ground operation in the town center Saint John the Baptistin the province of Father Abbot (Ucayali)with the objective of intervening in the collection and transportation of controlled chemical inputs used for the production of drugs.
The action was supervised by the PNP Colonel David Díaz Pérez and was under the operational direction of PNP commander Avelino Quispe Floresaccompanied by a team of seven agents. The entry took place in a rural area that is difficult to access.
Eleven arrested and cargo seized
During the intervention, eleven peopleidentified as:

- Romario Simion Sánchez Bravo (19)
- Jhon Gerardo Rivera Jara (32)
- Roger Reaño Santa María (68)
- Cristiam Rivera Carbajal (39)
- Moisés Delgado Zamora (37)
- Yerin Rivera Jara (21)
- Juan Gabriel Evaristo Echevarría (37)
- Elmer Jesús Beraún (36)
- Jean Lucas Espinoza Estrada (29)
- Jerson Nieto Govea (39)
All those intervened were at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
The police seized 127,340 kg of hydrochloric acid and 778,500 kg of acetoneinputs used for the production of drugs. Also seized were:
- 2 vehicles: an Isuzu W7Y-831 truck and a Changan CTR-685 pickup truck
- 7 cell phones
- S/ 220.00 in cash
Impact on illicit trafficking of inputs
According to police information, the intervention generated an estimated economic impact of S/ 225,299.40 to organizations dedicated to the trafficking of chemical supplies in the area.
The institution indicated that these actions are part of its permanent operations against illicit drug trafficking in the Ucayali region.
