UASD Santiago conmemora el 178 aniversario de la Constitución

The UASD Santiago commemorates the 178th anniversary of the First Constitution politics of the Dominican Republic in an act headed by the Director General, teacher Juan Arias Fuentes, which was attended by the Provincial Governor, teacher Rosan Santos, the Regional Director of Education, teacher Marieta Díaz, as well as Colonel Imbert Vásquez representing of the Regional Director of the National Police, General Laguna Reyes.

The act began with the parade of students from the schools that make up the Regional Education, District 08-05 starting from the gardens of the Gran Teatro del Cibao, they took Las Carreras Avenue, then Juan Pablo Duarte and finally Restauración Street to conclude in the Parque de la Constitución where the formal ceremony was held.

During the ceremony, the General Director of the UASD Santiago recalled that the participation of the city of Santiago in the establishment and maintenance of a free and independent Dominican Republic, for which he reminded the students present that it is up to them to continue the task in the future. made by our patriots so that today we can enjoy the freedoms that we exhibit.

The idea of ​​carrying out these activities is to keep alive the symbols of the Dominican Republic, that is why the UASD Santiago Campus has taken for a long time and since past authorities, the initiative to rescue the historical symbols of our country, in that sense as an institution of higher education we will continue contributing to the good of the nation, externally.

After the words of the teacher Juan Arias, the teacher Marieta Díaz, Regional Director of Education, began her participation saying: what we remember today is the 1844 constitution, the same as the norm between the rulers and the ruled, it is not a date to remember in the calendar , it is important to strengthen values ​​and respect for the law.

The Provincial Governor, teacher Rosan Santos, considered it important to return to historical dates, like this one, where the right of each Dominican woman is born, harboring the hope that other universities will join next year.

The central words were pronounced by the teacher Víctor De La Cruz, who made a review of the historical context from the legal point of view in which the Magna Carta of November 6, 1844 was voted.

The activity was attended by teachers Josefina Disla, Academic Deputy Director of the Campus and teacher Rafael Versas Granados Administrative Deputy Director
