The rector of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, teacher Editrudis Beltrán, and the director of Supérate, Gloria Reyes shared the details for the signing of an agreement that will impact different areas.
During the meeting, the incumbents expressed their desire to jointly develop programs and work plans for the benefit of both entities.
Beltrán stressed the importance of UASD and Supérate working together in the articulation of ideas in order to coordinate similar missions that allow them to optimize what each one has.
Meanwhile, the director of Supérate detailed the areas that would be impacted after the signing of an agreement, which has already been discussed.
“I think, specifically, that both in aspects related to the arts for the training of the artisans who work with us, as well as in the training of the empirical social workers that we have in the entity, we could reach favorable agreements for both entities,” said Gloria Reyes.
He explained that “the safest bridge between the University and the State is Superate. I understand that we could establish a two-way relationship, from which we all benefit.”
Reyes reported that they are working on the creation of a youth subsidy so that students can pay for transportation and enrollment, among other expenses, in a first phase.
He said that basic information about students can also be exchanged from the University, to streamline the delivery of aid to those who have the greatest needs.
He detailed relevant aspects such as: care systems, housing, social research, academic training, and technical training for Supérate collaborators, as well as the strengthening of the Social Work career, among others.
The authorities of both entities agreed for their technicians to work on the preparation of a draft that contemplates the areas that will be impacted, through the signing of this macro agreement.
