SANTO DOMINGO.- LA Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) issued an official statement on Wednesday in response to the circulation of a video on social networks in which it is observed four students leaving one classroom while another individual yells on them and threatens them with reporting them so that their tuition be canceled.

According to the institution, the video does not show the facts that supposedly motivated the situation, and so far there is no evidence that supports its veracity.

The UASD also emphasized that no member of its staff is authorized to record or expose students in the way in which it is evidenced in the shared material.

The General Directorate of Communications of the University assured that investigation will be carried out To determine if there was any violation of the security protocols and what actions correspond in this case.

The UASD recalled that, as a higher education institution with a large and diverse student community, it maintains a firm commitment to the protection of the integrity and rights of its students.
