Ualá launches its new payment terminal for SMEs

Despite the wide range of collection devices that already exist in the market, Ualá believes that Mexicans continue to open accounts and that the commission they manage will be key to reaching more customers.

The new terminal can also be used in electronic commerce with the same percentage of commission. This will be done through the mobile app.

The objective of the firm is to take this type of product beyond CDMX, where there is a wide range of financial products.

Ualá announced that in the next 18 months it will invest 100 million dollars in its operations in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. The resources will go to job creation and fraud prevention.

The firm highlighted that one of the firm’s priorities is to keep user data safe, so the investment of 100 million dollars includes cybersecurity measures.

“We know that crime and fraud figures grew, pushed by the increase in platform consumption, so part of the investments go to providers that reduce fraud,” said Claudia Trujillo, brand manager of the firm.

The firm, created by Peripaolo Barbieri, is already planning the launch of investment products, after the purchase of the ABC Capital bank.
