“The money can be sent from abroad by visiting the website or any of the more than 40,000 branches of MoneyGram agents present throughout the American Union,” reported Ualá.
Ualá clients can use the money to make purchases online or they can withdraw money at ATMs, the firm offers them two withdrawals per month without charging commission.
Anyone who is in Mexico will have the possibility of receiving up to 900 dollars in their Ualá ABC account monthly, that is, almost 22,000 Mexican pesos. The amount represents more than double the average individual remittance that is sent by family, which between January and July 2022 was 406 dollars, according to Banxico data.
“Remittances sustain the economy of thousands of families and, through accessible and reliable financial products, it is possible to generate a significant social impact,” Ualá said in a statement.
