U.S. Embassy in Nicaragua announces new visa application system

The United States Embassy in Nicaragua, through its social media, reported that as of September 23, it will use a new system in which users of the services offered by that diplomatic headquarters will be able to process fee payments, schedule visa appointments and request the document delivery service.

The implementation of this new system, according to the announcement posted on the Official Visa Appointment Service website, is “part of the United States Department of State’s efforts to continually improve services for our applicants.”

US authorities clarified that “the visa application fee will not increase as a result of this change” and visa appointments scheduled before September 23 “remain valid.”

“Through the new service, visa applicants will be able to obtain visa information, pay the required nonimmigrant visa fees, schedule a visa interview appointment, and receive document delivery services,” the embassy said in its post.

How to access the new visa system of the American embassy?

People who wish to access the new appointment system, according to the letter from the American Embassy, ​​can visit the website https://ais.usvisa-info.comwhere they must choose the country from which they are making their request and the language in which they want to access the information.

Under this new appointment system, according to the U.S. Embassy in Nicaragua, “nonimmigrant applicants who qualify for the interview waiver will be able to submit their visa application documents to the Consular Section via courier service and pick up their documents after adjudication at designated pick-up locations.”
