At the end of the second term of then-President Michelle Bachelet, the opposition at that time had detected countless public tenders in different ministries, with the aim – as they accused the Comptroller at the time – of leaving “people from their government installed.” The current UDI deputy, Juan Antonio Coloma, accused on the occasion that “the least one would expect is, first, that it has stricter requirements, and secondly, to leave this space for the next government, to understand that, when it is won or loses an election, you have to accept the result of citizenship ”.
Now, less than four months after having to deliver the Government, the Undersecretary of Regional and Administrative Development opened a series of public tenders, which consider three heads of service and eight administrative positions, and previously a process had been opened for lawyer.
On Wednesday, December 1, they were published in the Official diary Two contests for the Third Hierarchical Level Chief of Finance, Municipal Finance Department, the same day, another was opened for the Third Hierarchical Level Head of the Fiscal Department, in parallel, contests were added for eight administrative positions, three of grade 14, another three of grade 15 and two of grade 16.
Based on these antecedents, the Association of Subdere Officials issued a statement stating that “(…) given the experience in this matter, in recent years, they are not left with the perception and certainty of the necessary transparency to said processes. This discomfort was also transmitted to the authorities, and at the same time it was pointed out, on behalf of this directive, and on behalf of the Assembly, the need for this process to be addressed by the new Government that takes office in March 2022 ”.
The brief continues stating that “that beyond the doubts and value judgment issued about this process, we want to appeal to the seriousness and sense of opportunity that it should have, taking into account that, as it is the last section of the government, it does not the realization of this type of contests is justified, since, it lacks technical, administrative and political sense, and runs the risk of being seen as a personal imposition with only ideological ends ”.
