Two women were murdered by men who had arguments over passionate motives, according to initial investigations.
One of the fatal victims is identified as Yasmira del Carmen Peña Marín, 51 years old, who was murdered in the La Herrereña neighborhood, Ciudad Bolivia (Barinas), according to police sources.
Yasmira and a man identified as José Fernández got into an argument last Friday night, which ended when the man shot the woman in the face.
The victim was taken to a health center in Socopó (Barinas) and then to the Luis Razetti hospital in the city of Barinas where he was admitted lifeless.
In another incident, the body of Gabriela González (26) was rescued from the Guaire River as it passes through Ocumare del Tuy (Miranda). It is presumed that José Luis Rodríguez, the woman’s partner, was the one who killed her with a firearm, after observing her at a party last Friday night.
Captured in Táchira
Meanwhile, the Cicpc reported that she was captured in San Cristóbal (Táchira), Carmen Prato (24), after determining his participation in the murder of his brother-in-law, Manuel Tarazona (18), which occurred on August 17 in the Las Acacias sector, Pedro María Morantes parish, in the capital of Táchira.
Carmen was in a relationship with the victim’s brother and on the day of the incident she had an argument with him over emotional problems, according to the Cicpc report.
After the argument, Carmen entered the residence where her boyfriend lives and set fire to the closet area. The fire spread until it reached the room where Carmen’s brother-in-law was sleeping, who died in the flames.
The woman was arrested in the Las Acacias sector, Carrera 1 Bis, Pedro María Morantes parish, San Cristóbal municipality, Táchira state, where Cicpc agents recovered a lighter, used by the detainee to commit the crime, a Bera SBR 15CC motorcycle, license plate AE4I91R, a knife and two cell phones.
Carmen had a police record for illegal possession of narcotic and psychotropic substances, reported the Cicpc.
