Authorities are analyzing videos and money withdrawals that could exceed 40 million pesos during the hours in which she was missing.

The disappearance and subsequent appearance of Diana Ospina has focused the attention of the authorities on two elements that could explain what happened during the hours in which his whereabouts were unknown: the money movements made with his bank cards and the participation of at least two taxis that appear in security camera videos.
The case began in the early morning of February 22, when the woman left a night establishment in Bogota and boarded a taxi to go to his home. According to the information that has been revealed, that journey would have been the beginning of an alleged millionaire ride case.
During the hours in which she was missing, relatives noticed suspicious movements in her bank accounts. The first versions indicate that those responsible would have made multiple withdrawals and transactions with their cards, which would have caused losses that could exceed 40 million pesos.
These financial movements are now one of the main lines of investigation, since they allow us to reconstruct part of the route that those responsible would have taken while forcing the victim to hand over their passwords and bank details.
The role of taxis in the investigation
Another element that has caught the attention of investigators is the presence of two taxis in the moments before the disappearance.
A video captured by security cameras shows the moment the taxi in which Ospina was traveling stops near his home. Seconds later, two men get out of another taxi that apparently approached the place and quickly get into the vehicle where she was.
After that moment, the taxi in which the woman was riding continues its journey and leaves the camera range. The images suggest that it could be a coordinated action, so the authorities are analyzing whether both vehicles were involved in the incident or if one of the drivers could also have been a victim of the situation.
While the search was underway, the woman’s family reported her disappearance and began disseminating information to try to locate her. Concern grew when the bank transactions became known, which reinforced the hypothesis that he was the victim of a crime.
Finally, after several hours of uncertainty, Ospina arrived on his own at a police point located on the road to Choachifrom where she was transferred and was able to reunite with her family.
An investigation that remains open
Although the woman is now safe, the case remains under investigation. The authorities are reviewing the security videos, analyzing the bank transactions and working to identify the people who participated in the incident.
For now, the trail of money withdrawn from her accounts and the presence of the two taxis captured on cameras have become the main clues to clarify what really happened during the hours in which the woman was missing.
