Two soldiers died after explosion in war material warehouse

Three jailed for murdering homeless man

Two soldiers from the Bolivarian Navy component died during an explosion that occurred at the Santa Lucía War Material Storage, Conservation and Distribution Center, located in Puerto Cabello (Carabobo), according to military sources.

The fatal victims of the event that occurred on Thursday night were identified as José Rodríguez Parra (Naval Police) and Paúl Rojas Cuárez (First Corporal of the Navy). Sergeant Luis Sevillano Olivo was injured.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the explosion occurred when several soldiers were carrying out work inside the war material depot. It is there when the detonation of explosives occurs.

Risk Management personnel went to the site to control the fire derived from the explosion.

Security organizations began the corresponding investigations.
