Two shot corpses are rescued from the Ipire river

Two bodies shot were rescued from the Ipire river as it passed through the Los Guatacaros hamlet, Santa María de Ipire, Guárico, according to military sources.

The men are members of the criminal organization founded and directed by Giovanny Machucha (El Pepón), whose headquarters are in the Pedro Zaraza municipality, Guárico, according to reports.

One of the bodies corresponds to Heriberto Hernán Romero Villegas, while the other is in the process of identification.

Neighbors observed the corpses floating on the banks of the Ipire and reported to the authorities. Agents from the Cicpc-Zaraza and the Bolivarian National Guard, Detachment 343, went to the site to lift the bodies that had multiple gunshot wounds and were in an advanced state of decomposition, the source said.

The El Pepón organization is mainly dedicated to committing extortion against the agro-producers of the Pedro Zaraza municipality. They presume that this group has cells in the rural area located to the east of the aforementioned municipality, which connects with Santa María de Ipire. Precisely in that same sector a group derived from the Tren del Llano organizationalso specialized in collecting the vaccine from field producers.

Last October, GNB-Zaraza officials caught Oswaldo José Cheremos Carrasquel, listed as one of the main suppliers of weapons, bullets and explosive devices to those two Criminal organizations that operated in that region of eastern Guárico.
