In less than 24 hours, two trains impacted Hyundai vehicles on different blind parts of Ávila; Although there were no injuries, the accidents revive criticism about the lack of signaling.
Madrid, Spain.- The Province of Ciego de Ávila on Thursday registered two railway accidents, both with a balance of vehicles destroyed after collisions with passenger trains. Despite the magnitude of the impacts, injured people were not reported.
The first sinister occurred in the morning in the municipality of Baraguá, specifically in the town of Nonelio Hernández. A passenger train-identified as the 50933 locomotive, which covered the Baraguá-Ciego de Ávila route-hit an Hyundai car that, according to witnesses, tried to cross the railways without stopping. Hours later, at dusk, a second accident was reported in the Maidique area, also in the blind of Ávila. On this occasion, another train crashed into an Hyundai Accent that ended up overturned on the side of the road.
