Two prisoners took advantage of the situation of Peru vs. Australia – for the playoff to the Qatar 2022 World Cup – to escape from the Cajamarca prison facilities. INPE agents deployed an immediate operation to capture these subjects.
It happened yesterday, Monday, June 13, at 4:56 pm, when the inmates Brayant Aspillaga Valera and Geancarlo Noriega AzaldeThey circumvented prison security and escaped.
However, according to INPE, under circumstances in which the routine round was being carried out inside the compound, the escape attempt was quickly detected and both subjects were prevented from circumventing the perimeter fence of the prison.
“Brayant Aspillaga tried to climb the perimeter fence of the external part of tower three, being reduced. On the other hand, Geancarlo Noriega, was captured outside, in the area of tower three, after he jumped outside and had hidden in a ditch.”, detailed the INPE.
It was reported that both inmates were taken to the health area (topic) for medical evaluation. In addition, the fact was communicated to Dr. Jesús Portal Castrejón of the 3rd Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Cajamarca for legal proceedings.
