Two officers of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) are charged with cruel treatment of an elderly man, reported the attorney general, Tarek William Saab.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Saab reported that the added officers Daiber Camacho and Isbeth López would be charged by the Prosecutor 83 of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas for the assault on a senior citizen.
The event, which occurred in a bakery located in the Ruperto Lugo sector of Caracas, was recorded in a video that the Prosecutor published this Monday on his social networks. In the images you can see a bloody elderly man, and the uniformed men being judged and criticized by those present for attacking him.
“Prosecutor 83 AMC #will charge officials belonging to the #PNB: Daiber Camacho (Attached Officer) and Isbeth Lopez (Attached Officer) for having savagely assaulted a defenseless old man: These uniformed criminals will be punished for the crimes of Cruel Treatment”, published by the Attorney General.
This Monday the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, ordered to open an investigation against the two officers of the Bolivarian National Police for the alleged assault on the elderly man.
To clarify what happened, the Prosecutor put the case to the order of the Prosecutor’s Office 83, who was in charge of investigating and collecting the evidence to charge the police officers.
