Two officials of the Bolivarian National Police (GNP) were arrested after it was discovered that they allegedly participated in the murder of Jairelys Betania González Colina, 23 years old, reported the cicpc On Instagram.
The agents arrested for this act are brothers and are registered as Osber José Guerra Brito (38) and Osmary Alejandra Guerra Brito (34).
The events occurred on October 18 of last year at the victim’s home located in Tercer Plan de La Pedrera, Antímano, Caracas, where they played lottery.
That day, the police officers, together with Karen Joselyn Ramírez Montilva (36), beat Jairelys after accusing her of cheating in a game of chance.
Due to the beating, the woman was taken to the Miguel Ángel Rangel hospital located in Coche, where she died on January 21. The autopsy found that she died of “severe cerebral edema due to intracranial hemorrhage, due to severe head trauma.”
The Cicpc arrested Karen, one of the players, while the Polinacional imprisoned the two agents “when they tried to flee upon learning that the victim had died,” the report says.
