Two police chiefs from Valles del Tuy (Miranda) and an officer were arrested for their alleged links to the criminal organization founded by Deiber González, alias Carlos Capa. One of the detainees is Patricia Rodríguez, director of the police of the Simón Rodríguez municipality (San Francisco de Yare), Miranda.
Rodríguez has the rank of Associate Supervisor and was captured at the headquarters of the Vice Ministry of the Integrated Police System (Visipol) during one of the phases of Operation Thunder IV, aimed at dismantling the criminal organizations that operate in the Valles del Tuy Mirandina subregion. .
The officer of the aforementioned Tuyera police, Manuel Wladimir Araque Márquez, was also captured for allegedly being linked to the organization of Carlos Capa and other criminal groups. The aforementioned officer was apprehended when he was preparing to carry out maneuvers to achieve the freedom of a brother who was apprehended with drugs, according to Visipol investigations.
Content extraction was carried out on officer Araque’s cell phone and conversations were detected with members of criminal gangs operating in the Valles del Tuy.
Another official captured for alleged ties to Carlos Capa is Osmer Israel González Suárez, supervisor attaché, who is the Chief of Police Operations for the Rafael Urdaneta (Cúa) municipality. A review of his police record revealed that he has six open files for the crimes of extortion and kidnapping, according to criminal courts in the Valles del Tuy.
The three detained officials were handed over to the Special Operations Group attached to the Ministry of the Interior, Justice and Peace.

So far, with Operation Thunder IV, 22 members of Carlos Capa’s gang have been killed and 136 criminals have been captured, six of them members of the aforementioned criminal organization.
In addition, they seized 21 short arms, 13 long arms, 1 Mini-Uzi 9mm caliber, 319 cartridges of different calibers, 1 M26 fragmentary grenade, 1 portable radio, 2 handcuffs and 1 Kevlar vest, among others.
