Two people were injured after the helicopter in which they were traveling crashed this Saturday in the municipality of Monción, province of Santiago Rodríguez, specifically in the area known as Pimentel.
According to reports, the occupants of the aircraft are a married couple and were identified as the pilot, Irvin Crespo, and his wife, María Roxanna Rodríguez.
Both were transferred to a medical center in the Valverde province.
Following the incident, members of the Civil Defense, the Dominican Army and the National Police went to the scene to investigate what had happened.
