At least two people lost their lives in the Guaicaipuro Municipality of Miranda state, as a result of a landslide caused by an earth movement during the construction of a fluvial water pipeline, on the road in the Cortada de Maturín sector.
The entity’s firefighters arrived at the site who rescued two people who were unharmed, while two others were found without vital signs, including the engineer of the work, they were workers of the government of the aforementioned entity.
The fatalities were identified as 23-year-old Reinando José Sucre Amarista and 24-year-old José Fernando Ortiz Sáenz, while the other two people who were unharmed were identified as 38-year-old Argenis Pérez and 35-year-old Luis Rosa.
Meanwhile, the police authorities carry out investigations to determine the causes of the accident and thus determine responsibilities.
