The bodies of the victims were rescued by authorities moments after the collapse.
Emergency teams are continuing their rescue efforts to locate another trapped person.
The Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office is currently conducting the relevant investigations.
The Santa Barbara government deeply regretted “the landslide that occurred this afternoon in our municipality, where mining is the main source of employment.”
