The Primary Care Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the National Police, through search and search, in an operation called Detroit carried out today, July 5, 2023, in the community of Santa Marta, district of San Miguelito, found the apprehension of two people investigated for allegedly being involved in the robbery of a bank located on the Vía Transístmica.
The event occurred on May 24, 2023, when four people using firearms entered the banking facilities, subduing the cashiers and customers, managing to strip a security agent of his regulation weapon and stealing an approximate amount of 22 thousand balboas in cash.
In the next few hours, these apprehended persons will be placed under the orders of the Guarantee Court for the respective hearings on requests for legalization of apprehension, imputation of charges and application of precautionary measures.
