According to the journalist Francis RomeroThe third baseman from Cienfuegos Yoan Moncada and the Avilanian outfielder Luis Robert have expressed their agreement to integrate the Cuban team to the fifth edition of the World Classic and they would be on a preliminary list made up of around fifty players.
Both are members of the Chicago White Sox, where Cubans José Dariel Abreu and Yasmani Grandal also play, and are awaiting permission from their team.
The Cuban Baseball Federation recently announced that Andy Ibáñez (Texas Rangers), Yoan López (New York Mets) and Elián Leyva (Hermosillo Naranjeros) will be part of the preselection Cuban who will participate in the event.
So far there has been no official confirmation of the news.
