Two other cases of alleged poisoning mass were recorded on the afternoon of this Thursday, November 14 in Portuguesespecifically in the José María Vargas educational units in Guanare and Arturo Celestino Álvarez in Guanarito.
Both campuses were evacuated due to the presence of a strange smell and the adverse reactions of students and teachers, some with fainting, dizziness, nausea and respiratory failure.
Both institutions were evacuated by the security and rescue agencies, which also transferred more than 20 affected people to the Guanare and Guanarito hospitals.
With the two incidents this Thursday there are now four cases of mass poisoning that have occurred in less than a week in educational establishments in Portuguesa. Although the type of substance causing the emergency is unknown, both security and health authorities presume that it enters the body through respiration or contact, through the pores.
