The Ministry of Public Health confirmed two new cases of monkeypox in the country. Both patients, who are male, reside in the National District and show healing of practically all their injuries.
According to statements by the Deputy Minister of Collective Health, Eladio Perez, the patients had close contact with people from abroad. Therefore, she ruled out the existence of community transmission.
Mental health
Dr. Alejandro Uribe, director of Mental Health, said that the violent acts recorded in recent weeks are the product of exercising the same violence.
He highlighted the importance of managing emotions and frustrations and avoiding impulsive reactions that lead to violence.
