Security agencies arrested two men who had a total of 144 finger cots of cocaine inside their body, according to mixed sources.
One of the detainees is registered as Luis Alfredo Cortez Fonce, captured by the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) at the Citizen Service Point located in Vega de Aza, Córdova municipality, Táchira.
This person was coming from Cúcuta, Colombia, as a passenger on a public transport unit headed for Caracas. The soldiers checked the bus and boarded the man who immediately admitted carrying a portion of drugs in his body.
Through an assisted expulsion process, the subject expelled 52 finger cots that released 840 grams of cocaine.
A similar procedure occurred in Valencia (Carabobo), where officers attached to the Directorate against Organized Crime of the Bolivarian National Police detained Marcos Antonio Ortega Mujica (35).
This person was transferred to the Ciudad Hospitalaria Enrique Tejera Paris where they performed X-ray studies that determined the presence of foreign bodies, which totaled 92 finger cots of cocaine whose expulsion took place in that health center.
Both procedures were notified to the Public Ministry.
