Miranda state police officials confronted cells of the gang founded by Wilexis Acevedo Monasterios (El Wilexis) and killed two of their members.
This procedure occurred this Thursday morning in the El Cercado sector, Ambrosio Plaza municipality (Guarenas), Miranda state, where the police commission arrived and confronted members of the group led by alias Cabeza de Motor, who was injured and taken to a center health center where he was admitted without vital signs.
Subsequently, in the upper part of El Cercado, a second confrontation took place with several armed individuals where a subject known as Jonaiker Fox Morao was mortally wounded, who died a few minutes later, the report says.
Both Cabeza de Motor and Fox Morao are related to the El Wilexis criminal gang. Apparently they provided him shelter when the negative leader left the José Félix Rivas (Petare) neighborhood fleeing police operations.
In these procedures, the officials collected two firearms: a Tanfoglio 9mm and a 38 revolver.
According to the files, the two killed are involved in homicide, aggravated robbery and extortion.
The deployment of Polimiranda in the aforementioned Guarenas sector is part of the operation activated after alias El Wilexis was killed during a confrontation he had this Wednesday with Cicpc agents on the Patera-Santa Lucía highway.
The Cicpc commissions were in that area participating in the Bolivarian Shield exercises, intended to exercise control over armed groups that generate violence, among others.
The Wilexis gang had carried out several acts of violence in Petare for political purposes associated with the plans of the Venezuelan extreme right, according to the explanation given by the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.
