Two subjects were killed when they carried out an ambush against a commission of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), which was patrolling on the grounds of Mary, Maracay, capital of Aragua.
The military commission was carrying out boarding procedures in the aforementioned sector and suddenly they were surprised by a group of armed individuals, who shot them. The troops reacted and shot down two of the criminals, one of them identified as Roberto Carlos Correa Martínez, while the other is known by the nickname El Muñequito, according to reports.
That event occurred last Sunday morning. And the next day, a confrontation took place between a police-military commission and members of the El Charra Structured Organized Crime Group, which had as its base of operations the Funda Coporo sector, Francisco Linares Alcántara municipality (Santa Rita), Aragua state, says the source.
In that scuffle, eight members of the aforementioned criminal group were killed and two Poliaragua officials injured, according to reports.
President Nicolás Maduro said that Monday that the “Sayonista right” has once again resumed the use of criminal gangs to employ them in destabilization actions. He revealed that alias El Bombillo, recently killed in Barinas, was part of that plan.
“Every day they are conspiring. And the Sayonist criminal right only has sabotage, violence, crime, but they will not be able to. I thank the people too,” commented the Venezuelan president during his weekly program.
Drugs and ammunition. In another procedure, agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) detained a subject from whom they seized a fragmentary grenade for military use. This procedure was carried out in the Alonso de Ojeda parish, Lagunillas municipality, Zulia state, according to a report posted on the PNB networks.
A similar operation was carried out by the PNB in the El Renacer sector, Ezequiel Zamora municipality (San Carlos), Cojedes state, where they detained a man carrying drugs and war material. They confiscated a panel of marijuana from the subject, 20 ammunition for 7.62 x 51 rifles, a charger for a 9 mm submachine gun and two ammunition cases, the minutes say.
