Two key crossings in San Pedro blocked by truckers: long lines of stranded vehicles

One of the leaders of that transport union, Isaias Acosta, said that the closures at these two points will be extended to other parts of the country. He announced that a meeting is planned for this Friday, in the city of Limpio (Central) where a unified position will be taken among the leaders.

“We consider a lack of commitment from parliamentarians to define an issue of importance to citizens. The protest measures will spread throughout the country,” Acosta remarked in an interview with the media.

Reports from the second department indicate that between the 6,000 and Guaicá crossings, it is estimated that around 2,000 cars and trucks have not been able to cross these arteries so far, due to the closures.
