Two convicted inmates escaped from the Osorno Penitentiary Compliance Center. The information was delivered through a press release by the Chilean Gendarmerie.
The escape of the inmates occurred during the morning of this Friday, April 7 and was verified through the surveillance camera system at 2:00 p.m.
As detailed, the inmates are Raphael Rojo Rivera (37), who is serving an 8-year sentence for the crime of robbery with intimidation; and JJuan Riquelme Saez (31), who was imprisoned for the crimes of robbery in an uninhabited place.
“Gendarmerie immediately notified the Public Ministry, the Chilean Police and the Investigative Police to search for the two inmates,” the statement said.
The escape would have been made through the roof of the women’s bathroom in the prison, where a hole was found in the ceiling, through which they would have left the compound.
