Commissions of the Bolivarian National Guard They captured two subjects dedicated to the fraud and counterfeiting of foreign currencies in the city of Barinas.
The officials, assigned to the Urban Security Detachment (Desur), carried out scrutiny and investigations in the central part of the capital municipality of the Llanero state, achieving the location of the individuals who, after the corresponding review, had a total of 2,740 dollars seized. .
Subjects carried the currencies in 139 banknotes
According to the GNB report, the 25 and 31-year-old subjects carried the currency in 139 bills of dubious origin.
The Zone Command for Internal Order 33 reports that these actions are part of the fight against Structured Organized Crime Groups.
The case was brought before the Public Ministry for the crimes of foreign currency counterfeiting, aggravated smuggling and money laundering.
Seizure of one ton of baking soda
In another procedure, members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in a coordinated effort with the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit 33 of Barinas, seized a ton of sodium bicarbonate, presumably used for the production of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
The procedures were achieved through two inspections in warehouses of parcel companies.
One of the shipments came from the city of Mérida, Mérida state. Of the total cargo, 800 kilos were destined for Anaco, Anzoátegui state; 50 to Maturin, Monagas state; and 25 to Cumaná, Sucre state.
The other also came from Mérida to Caracas.
