The qualifying match for the Qatar World Cup that this Wednesday (Thursday Spanish time) played U.S Y Honduras, which ended with victory for the locals by a landslide (3-0), was held in Minnesota under intense cold of -20ºC. In fact, many players were seen wearing gloves and panties that covered their hands and necks.
So intense was the cold that the match suffered that the Honduran team had to make two forced changes of two players with symptoms of hypothermia. One of them, the goalkeeper ‘Buba’ López, who during the break was replaced by his teammate Edrick Menjívar.
