Two funeral homes disputed a death in Quito

It happened in the south of the capital. In the middle of the street, two men attacked each other for staying with ‘the client’.

A video uploaded to social networks recorded the Fight between two employees of funeral homes, in Quitumbe (south of Quito). The men tried to perform the lifting of a corpse in a house.

The men beat and kicked each other in the middle of the street after an argument, while the relatives of the deceased were meters from the Fight.

Citizen comments in the video detailed that there are operators of the ECU911 that would charge a commission for customers who funeral homes get during the lifting of a corpse.

The director of Ecu 911, Juan Zapata, was consulted by Ecuavisa and said: «We are not going to cover up scoundrels. If we know the name of an official, then with a first and last name, we will file the complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office ».

Zapata explained that the procedure is that after receiving a call from a corpse, ECU 911 communicates with the morgue to do the lifting of the body. The representatives of funeral homes to offer their services. (AVV)
