An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded at 05:52 pm this Friday, October 28, in the city of Ica, province and region with the same name, the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) reported on its social networks.
According to the report, the telluric movement occurred 97 kilometers southwest of the city of Ica with a depth of 18 kilometers.
Four minutes earlier, at 05:48 pm, another strong tremor of magnitude 4.1 was recorded in Ica. This occurred 97 kilometers southwest of the city of Ica with a depth of 16 kilometers.
The local authorities of the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci) have not yet reported personal or material damage due to the earthquake that occurred this morning.
In cases of earthquake, the Indeci authorities recommend acting calmly and having identified the safe zones inside and outside the home, in order to avoid personal damage to regret.
