Two doctors and two nurses were arrested Tuesday night at the Tía Panchita Rehabilitation Center, located in Alta Florida, Caracas.
In that institution, the singer Jesús Miranda (Chino Miranda) was under addiction treatment from December 2021 until last Thursday when he was transferred to another clinic by order of the 9th Civil Court of Caracas at the request of his girlfriend Astrid Falcón, according to judicial sources. .
The detainees are identified as Danies Moreno and José Chacón, nursing assistants; as well as doctors Victorio Domínguez and Jesús Sotillo. The latter two apparently do not have their psychiatry degrees on file, a source revealed. They are medical professionals who were pursuing a postgraduate degree.
The arrests occurred at the end of an inspection carried out by the Public Ministry to the aforementioned clinic and that sought to verify all the necessary documentation for the operation of an institution specialized in addictions and psychotic outbreaks, among others.
In this context, the authorities requested the titles of all medical and paramedical personnel.
The four detainees were transferred in patrols of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Bolivarian National Police.
Some relatives of patients and former patients They were present during the entire procedure carried out between noon and late at night on Tuesday. They expressed concern about the fate of the institution.
