Two die in traffic accident in Puerto Plata

Two people died and another was seriously injured when a truck and a van collided head-on, early this Sunday, on the Puerto Plata-Montellano highway, La Gran Parada section.

According to versions, the accident occurred around 5:20 a.m. this Sunday.

The driver of the truck died instantly from the impact. Another deceased was in the back of the same vehicle and with the crash he was thrown into the air, hitting the pavement a few meters later.

The driver of the truck would have been injured, witnesses said.

Units from the fire department appeared at the scene of the accident, who helped the wounded man and transferred him to a medical assistance center in Puerto Plata.

The identities of the deceased were not released.

He is a journalist graduated from O&M, he has practiced journalism since 2005 from Santiago, he likes to serve the best interests of society from his profession
