Pedro Mauricio Zapata Hernández, 27, and Jenny Josefina Hernández Ampueda, 62, lost their lives in a multiple traffic accident that occurred on Monday in Troncal 005, a few meters from the Distributor Water Box of the Tinaquillo municipality, Cojedes state.
The tragic accident also left several people injured. According to the official report of the Cojed Fire Department, the chain collision involved three vehicles, a blue Hyundai Tucson, DDC59J plate, year 2008, whose driver did not suffer apparent injuries.
The other vehicle involved is a white chevrolet FVR type van type, A34AN6G plate, driven by Francisco Monsalve, 46, who presented an open wound at the parietal level. Simón Villarruel, 47 accompanied him, who was unharmed. After the impact, this vehicle overturned, the firefighters report reviewed.
The third car involved in the accident is a gray Chevrolet Aveo, AE947ck plate, 2008, driven by the deceased Pedro Mauricio Zapata Hernández, who died in the place. It should be noted that Zapata Hernández was an active official of the Military Aviation Logistics Center. Jenny Josefina Hernández Ampueda traveled in the same vehicle, who also lost her life, and David Guevara, 67, who suffered multisystemic trauma.
At the scene of the event there were officials of Citizen Security and Civil Protection such as the Firefighters of Cojedes, Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and the State Police, who provided primary care and basic support of life to the injured who were subsequently transferred to the Dr. Joaquina de Rotandaro hospital to receive specialized medical care.
