At least two people died and three were hospitalized in a shooting that occurred early Monday in front of a reindeer casino, Nevada.
An armed man opened fire in front of Casino Grand Sierra Resort and shot several people before being arrested, police said, noting that an agent responded with shots after identifying the suspect.
“The agents immediately located the suspect, at which time a shooting occurred with the participation of an agent,” reads a police statement.

“The suspect was arrested and transferred to a local hospital. His state of health is unknown. No continuous threat to the public is known.”
Reno Police spokesman Chris Johnson indicated that the victims’ health was immediately unknown. “My deepest condolences to all those affected by the tragic shooting in the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) in Reno this morning.
“We accompany the Grand Sierra staff, the resort guests already all affected by this incident,” said the mayor of Reno, Hillary Schieve, in a statement published on the social platform X.
