Two dead and one injured by electric shock in the east

The balance corresponds to so far this month of November 2022

Two people have died and another is in a delicate state so far this November in the provinces of La Altagracia and La Romana as a result of electric shocks.

The latest victim is Isacar Joseph Guerrero Melo, 28, who received multiple burns and is in serious condition at a health center.

Guerrero Melo, upon receiving the electric shock, was on the third level of a building, located on Huáscar Tejeda street, in the San José sector, Higüey municipality.

Other cases

It is recalled that on the 15th of this month, a young man was electrocuted on the Higüey-La Otra Banda highway. The victim was identified as Alexis Sánchez

Taveras, 23 years old, was working activating an optical fiber and made contact with a high tension cable.

While, in La Romana, on the 11th of this same month, Cristóbal Starling Peralta Vicioso, 28, died in the Los Altos sector of Río Dulce, due to contact with electricity.

Peralta Vicioso was on the roof of a building and was making electrical connections.

Journalist, graduated from the UASD. She is a university professor, specializing in Education and New Technologies.
