Two killed people and more than 30 injured was the balance that left the overturning of an excursion bus, which occurred on Sunday night on the road that leads to the coastal population of Choroní, specifically at kilometer 6 of the road, in the well -known curve of the Danta.
According to the report offered by the authorities, the deceased people were identified as Janeth Irumba Román, 39, who was the owner of the tourism agency in charge of the excursion, and Beatriz Elena Mendoza Bastidas, who was also part of the hikers in charge of the trip.
The unit involved was a MOZVA type bus, identified with the plates YA77422, which was transferred hikers from the Coropus sector of the Francisco Linares Alcántara municipality, who came from enjoying a day of recreation on the beaches of Choroní.
According to the initial part offered by the Peace Quadrants Directorate, the bus driver would have lost control of the unit and fallen by the ravine, after alleged mechanical failures, although the corresponding investigations are carried out to determine the causes of the accident that enluta to the Aragonese people.
Immediate attention
As soon as the accident was known, rescue and first aid teams moved to the place, with the participation of Firefighters from Aragua, Inparques, Forest Firefighters, Bolivarian National Guard, Aragua Police and Bolivarian National Police.
Likewise, the Civil Protection teams, VEN911 and El Crama, transferred to the injured to the Central Hospital of Maracay (HCM) and to the Cipriano Castro hospital, located in San Vicente.
Governor Joana Sánchez was present at the Central Hospital, where she offered support to the relatives of the injured and assured the delivery of the necessary medical supplies for the treatments they require. In a preliminary balance there are 10 people with multiple trauma, 18 with minor wounds and six with minor scoriations.
