Two dead and 17 injured by mass transit accident in Granma

MIAMI, United States. — Two dead and 17 injured was the balance of a mass transit accident that occurred this Tuesday in Granma province, reported local media in that eastern Cuban territory.

Reports indicate that the accident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the highway that connects the municipalities of Media Luna and Campechuela, when a GAZ 53 truck from the local UBPC Vicana Abajo, coming from Ciego de Ávila, left the road in a slope in the area of ​​La Norma.

On May 16, a private passenger transport truck that covered the Camagüey-Bayamo route collided with a tourist car on a section of the central highway located ten kilometers before reaching the municipal seat of Guáimaro, in the province of Camaguey.
