Two days after taking office: President (e) Gabriel Boric designates the replacements for Provincial Presidential Delegates

The President-elect, Gabriel Boric, confirmed who will replace the Provincial Presidential Delegates who left office due to “personal reasons” before being able to assume it. This, within the framework of what will be the Presidential change of command, where the former deputy will assume as Head of State this Friday, March 11.

This has been confirmed by the office of the President-elect, who reported the new designations for the Provincial Presidential Delegations, which must coordinate the functions of the previous government, public security, emergencies, among others.

“The office of the President-elect communicates the appointment of the Presidential Delegates of the provinces of Ultima Esperanza in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica regions, Biobío and Arauco in the Biobío region, and the Maipo province in the Metropolitan region,” says the document.

In this way, the psychologist Romina Álvarez, of the Radical Party, will replace Juan Francisco Díaz in the Provincial Delegation of Última Esperanza. Álvarez has worked as a psychologist in psychosocial support programs of the Ministry of Social Development and the National Service for Women.

In Biobío, the social and independent worker Paulina Purrán will replace Sergio Pinilla in the Provincial Delegation of Biobío. Purrán, she has served as coordinator of Culture and Entrepreneurship in the Municipality of Alto Biobío.

The Delegation in Arauco also underwent changes. The independent Javier Ponce will replace the social worker, Silvia Prieto Gómez. Ponce, has studies in psychology and has been a national coordinator in Techo para Chile programs and has assumed leadership within the Hogar de Cristo Foundation programs.

In the Metropolitan region, Miguel Ángel Rojas, from the Socialist Party, has been appointed to replace Cristián Troncoso, also from the Socialist Party. Rojas is an engineer in Risk Prevention and has worked in the Municipality of El Bosque.

From the office of the President-elect, they thanked the outgoing Appointees, alluding to the fact that their desertion was due to personal reasons.

“We appreciate the willingness to be part of our Government to Juan Francisco Díaz Bahamonde, Silvia Prieto Gómez, Sergio Pinilla Pino and Cristián Troncoso, previously appointed, who for personal reasons withdrew from the appointment,” the text concludes.
