Two minors died in the last few hours as a result of burns, according to security agencies. One of the deceased is an eight-year-old boy on whom a pot of boiled water fell, causing injuries to 80% of his body; event that occurred on Saturday, June 18, in Maturín, Monagas.
This minor was taken to the “Manuel Núñez Tovar” hospital where he died this Monday.
While last Sunday night, a 4-year-old girl died after a fire broke out in the room where she slept with her sister.
Apparently the fire came from a short circuit in a house located in El Cigarrón, Boca de Uchire, Anzoátegui.
There was a power outage and when restored, the cables sparked causing the fire in that house. The older sister ran away, but the younger one was unable to do so, suffering burns over 75% of her body, a source explained. She was taken to the Luis Razzetti hospital in Barcelona where she passed away.
