Following the issuance of the call for the internal process of the PAN to renew its national leadership, only former deputy Adriana Dávila and the coordinator of the PAN deputies, Jorge Romero, have confirmed their participation.
Meanwhile, Senator Kenia López has said in various radio interviews that this week she will analyze whether she will seek the 30 thousand signatures necessary to register, while her counterpart Damián Zepeda has not said when he will decide whether to enroll in the process.
According to the call, candidates must present their intention to participate, with the requirement of having 30,298 signatures of support, equivalent to 10 percent of the members, or 30 percent of the national councilors of the party. Yesterday, Romero held his first day to collect support.
Meanwhile, the current leader, Marko Cortés, pointed out that an exception was included in the call so that, in the event that none of the female candidates achieve at least 10 percent or the support of counselors, registration in the process will be granted to the one who presents the greatest number of signatures. I assure you that there will be at least a contest of two or three, hopefully there will be more candidates.
