Two arrested for illegally transferring Syrians

Military agents detained two Venezuelans who were illegally transporting two citizens of Syrian nationality, according to military sources. This procedure was carried out at the Citizen Service Point located in Boca de Grita, one of the four bridges that border Colombia through the state of Táchira.

The detainees are Vladímir Segundo Castillo Parra and Yeny Carolina Duque Quiñones, who were transporting two citizens of Syrian nationality identified as: Tereg Sulibi Ziyad Ehsan and Antonio Mekloof Ibrahem Souad. The foreigners carried their passports without legal immigration processing, destined for Colombia, coming from El Vigía (Mérida), the report says.

The Syrians were transported in a green Chevrolet Cavalier, license plate AF573TV, which was confiscated as well as three cell phones, 1,765 US dollars and 306,000 Colombian pesos, the report says.
