Two alleged spies captured in Lara

The Bolivarian National Guard captured two alleged spies in Lara, according to information obtained from military media.

The identification of the detainees was recorded as Joseph Ismet Kadrovic Machado (Venezuelan) and Hernán Darío Gómez Hernández (Colombian).

These people were traveling in a beige Nissan Almera, plate AA557ED, a vehicle that was checked at the Jacinto Lara Citizen Service Point at the entrance to Barquisimeto.

During the check, the military located documents that contain “strategic information of the Venezuelan state.”

The subjects also carried 761 dollars, 392 thousand Colombian pesos, two telephone sets, a laptop, a Colombian passport No. AT900214, a Colombian identification card No. 71,796,309, a Colombian driver’s license, a Botero Soto company card Logistics Solutions and a Venezuelan identity card.

The arrest of Kadrovic and Gómez was reported to the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim). The initial file of the GNB says that they will be prosecuted for “alleged espionage in the national territory.”
