Prosecutors from the Special Investigation Unit achieved legal action against two men investigated for reincorporated crimes that occurred in the rural area of Quibdó Chocó and in Santa Rosa Bolívar.
Initially, at the request of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, a guarantee control judge imposed a measure of deprivation of liberty in a prison center on John Arley Evao Duave, aka ‘Carecrime’, an alleged member of the ‘Clan del Golfo’ who would have participated in the murder of a reincorporated person identified as Heiner Cuesta Mena.
As it was known, the crime occurred on November 15, 2020, in the district of San Rafael de Neguá, in Quibdó Chocó. The victim died from the gunshots. which was given to him by two armed men.
The defendant was captured in the south of Bogotá, in a joint action by the Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police. Alias ’Carecrimen’ was charged with the crimes of aggravated homicide; traffic, manufacturing, carrying or possession of aggravated firearms; and conspiracy to commit a crime, the charges were not accepted.
Given the forcefulness of the elements obtained by the Prosecutor’s Office, Elder José Cárdenas Gaviria, alias ‘Parcerito’, Presumed member of the dissidents of the 37th front of the Farc, accepted by pre-agreement his participation in the crime of the reincorporated Giovanny Andrés Contreras Ortega, which occurred on February 15, 2021, in the main park of Santa Rosa Bolívar.
