In the early hours of September 11, in a session that lasted six minutes, the Congress of the State of Oaxaca approved the reform to the Judicial Branch with 41 votes in favor.
In an interview with local media, Morena member Sergio López, president of the Political Coordination Board of the Congress of Oaxaca, stated that the 41 legislators of that state were summoned as of Tuesday, September 10, to settle permanently, so that once the Senate’s minutes were received, the necessary procedures could be carried out to bring it to the plenary session, thus becoming the first entity to approve it.
“We have a commitment in the local Congresses, Oaxaca is committed and that is what we are not agreeing on today, we are prepared to approve it (the Judicial Reform)” he explained.
Almost two hours after its approval in general and in particular in the Senate, the Congress of Oaxaca called the 41 deputies to the plenary session in an extraordinary session that began shortly before 5:20 am with the dispensation of all reading of documents, including the agenda and reading of the minutes sent by the Upper House.
In three minutes and without any interventions from legislators – either in favor or against – the bill on the reform of the Judicial Branch was put to a vote, and was approved unanimously, including one vote from the PAN, three from PRI deputies and three from the PRD.
Of the six minutes that the session lasted, three were used for the only point on the agenda: the “fast track” approval of the reform.
Through his social networks, the governor of the state of Oaxaca, Salomón Jara, welcomed the approval of the Judicial Reform and described it as a “historic vote”
We celebrate that the Congress of Oaxaca is the first to support and endorse the reform of the Judicial Branch, with a historic unanimous vote in the session that took place at dawn. This is a firm step towards the construction of a democratic and fair justice system… pic.twitter.com/IuvHNiROl2

It also happens in Tamaulipas
In Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, the Congress of that state was in permanent session to resume work, shortly after 5:00 am. After considering the ruling sent by the Senate, the discussion began: here there were interventions by deputies of Morena and allied parties, unlike the Oaxacan legislature, where they omitted that procedure.
