Twelve days later, the PRI submits a report to the INE on the reform of its statutes

At the last moment before the deadline for the PRI’s National Executive Committee to submit to the National Electoral Institute (INE) the reforms to the party’s statutes that took place on July 7, yesterday the representation of the tricolor He handed these basic documents to the official parts office.

According to the law, this political force had 10 working days to submit these modifications, so that the electoral authority could review them and, considering a calendar outside the electoral process, this deadline to comply with the regulatory framework was met yesterday.

However, if we consider that the electoral process is still in force, since it ends when the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) declares the validity of the presidential election, every day is a business day, including weekends, and in that case the PRI should have presented them on July 17.

Amidst these ambiguities of electoral times, the national leadership of the Institutional Revolutionary Party, through the deputy and representative of the party in the INE, Emilio Suárez Licona, presented the reforms made in the 24th National Assembly of the PRI.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 25 of the General Law of Political Parties, the Institutional Revolutionary Party makes known in a timely manner the holding of the plenary session of its highest deliberative body, that is, the National Assembly, as well as the reform of the basic documents and the Code of Party Ethics.the letter contains 29 pages accompanied by 13 boxes with documents under review.

The report also states that they delivered on time and in the correct manner because It was carried out within the legal period provided for in the electoral regulations.

The document also indicates that all the processes were held in person in accordance with the bases of the convening instrument and the guidelines established in its regulations, so everything was fulfilled. in a timely manner and that all the agreements of the national assembly counted with notarial testimonies that ensure the certainty of each action and allow obtaining legal and statutory results applied to the basic documents.

During its 24th National Assembly, the PRI modified several articles of its statutes, including the first paragraph of 172, which establishes that the national and state leadership can be elected for up to three consecutive periods, each consisting of four years.

Yesterday afternoon, the PRI representative at the INE also attended the Electoral Court for a hearing of arguments as interested third parties with Judge Reyes Rodríguez regarding the challenges made by the former national leaders.
