The department of La Paz is once again the scene of the death of two women. One is Jessica Román, 25, who was found dead in her house in the Entre Ríos area. The other victim has not yet been identified because her head was only found in the Jupapina area, south of the city. Police are still looking for her body.
In Jessy’s case, as her friends told her, it was her mother who first found the body hanging in her apartment. However, she does not believe that her daughter – who was the host of a television program and also a singer – made such a radical decision because she had many dreams to fulfill. For that reason, she presumes that it is a femicide, for which she asked the authorities to investigate the case.
“Her partner was very jealous,” said Victoria Cruz, after reporting that Jessy went to a party last Sunday night and he desperately looked for her and moved to her apartment. “He told my daughter: ‘Where were you, surely you were with your grandchildren. Come on, I want to see where you were, I want to see who you were with,'” the mother recounted and said that she took the young woman out of her house.
According to the lady, the couple picked up one of their friends who was passed out and took him to Doña Victoria’s house. Later, the young woman and her partner argued, to the point that he took away her cell phone and her glasses. The next day, she went to her apartment and two days later she was found dead.
Yesterday, the young woman’s mother filed her complaint with the Public Ministry for femicide and asks the authorities to investigate the case.
a beheaded woman
On Wednesday, the Police found the head of a woman in the Achocalla River, near Jupapina. The Public Ministry investigates the fact by femicide. The victim was not identified.
According to the departmental prosecutor of La Paz, William Alave, the case is a new femicide committed against a woman between 30 and 40 years of age, who received multiple blows before being decapitated.
After learning of the fact, a multidisciplinary team from the Prosecutor’s Office went to the scene to collect material and biological samples. “(Performed) -in addition- the legal lifting of the victim’s head,” he said.
The autopsy indicates that the head is that of a woman, that she has a death date of five to 10 days and that the cause of death was injury to higher nervous centers, head and facial (face) trauma with a broken nose.
Yesterday, with the help of specialized dogs, the Police searched for the woman’s body in the sector.
